  • Oil Pollution Prevention (SPCC) & Oil Pollution Act (40 CFR 120.20): Proper training, emergency procedures, and facility-specific response plans submitted to EPA and USCG.
  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA 40 CFR 264.16): Hazardous waste management and emergency preparedness.
  • Air & Dock Permits: Compliant with air permits for tanks, fire pumps, and generators; dock operations regulated by USCG.
  • Annual Training: Personnel trained yearly on SPCC, OPA, and BMP requirements.

Vessel Unloading & Cargo Handling

  • Rigorous Procedures: 14-page step-by-step guides cover spills, fires, injuries, and contamination.
  • Pipeline Cleaning: Multi-product pipelines are flushed and recorded before transfers.
  • Product Identification & Sampling: Positive ID and sampling ensure safety and quality.
  • Lot Tracking & Security: Lot numbers assigned; valves padlocked to prevent tampering.
  • Nitrogen Use: Hoses and pipelines are purged with nitrogen to prevent fire hazards and contamination.
  • Alcohol/Drug-Free Policy: Personnel must remain alert during all operations.

Cargo Tank Loading Safety

  • Tank Compatibility & Inspection: Five inspections conducted before loading, including leakage, thickness, visual, and pressure checks.
  • Material Verification & Weight Limits: Ensure product safety and prevent fines or accidents.
  • Client Coordination: All tanks selected and approved by the client to comply with federal regulations.
